Jun 18, 2013 · Windows could not automatically detect this networks proxy settings. I have Windows 7 and yesterday I lost all network access. I have 2 boxes and a network printer hardwired to my router and 2 laptops and a box via wireless, all are working fine except for one. I hooked up a laptop via hardwire to the plug this box uses and had no problems.

However in 8.1 the proxy settings can also be accessed from the Settings charm: Settings - Change PC Settings - Network - Proxy.
